Geocache Description:

***** THE CACHE IS NOT HIDDEN AT THE LISTED COORDINATES!! You must answer the questions below to find the final coordinates of the cache. DON'T RETRIEVE CACHE NEAR MUGGLES! This cache was previously a very unique container but since it got muggled three times, I've had to resort to a micro for stealth. Bring your tweezers to retrieve the log. PARK AT THE ARBORETUM AND WALK FROM THAT DIRECTION!!

This cache is a tribute to the Carolina Hurricanes, my favorite professional sports team. I used to be a mini-plan season ticket holder for several years (Now a full STH with the AHL Checkers)and was there for the Stanley Cup Finals in 2006, when the Canes won the Cup in Game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers. By far, the greatest professional sporting event I have ever attended.

The cache can be found at N 35 0A.BBC W 080
DD.EEF. Answer the questions below to find the cache.

1) Before the team moved to NC in what city was the team located? Count the letters of the city name and subtract 3. The answer = A.

2) In what year did the Hurricanes play their first home game in North Carolina? Take the year and subtract 1932. The answer = BB

3) Hall of Famer, Ron Francis, returned to the organization that drafted him in 1998 and still holds the organization records for points, goals, assists, and games played. His #10 jersey was retired on January 28, 2006 but #10 is not the jersey number he started with when he came to the Hurricanes. Find the jersey # he started with and subtract 20. The answer= C.

4) Rookie goalie sensation, Cam Ward, won the Conn Smyth Trophy in the 2006 Playoffs. Find his age when he won the trophy and add 24. The answer=DD.

5) In Game 7 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals, Justin Williams scored an empty net goal late in the third period to seal the Cup for the Canes. Find the number of seconds left in the third period when the goal was scored and add 22. The answer= EE

6) Rod Brind'Amour proved to be a true team leader as the Canes Captain during the 2006 playoffs. In the 2002 season, he was 1/3 of the "BBC" line alongside Erik Cole and another player. Find the other player, and count the numbers of letters in his last name and subtract 6. The answer = F.

If you wish, you can check your answers for this puzzle by emailing me with your coordinates to confirm.

If you decide to stroll around the lake, walk around the left side. Do not go into the Raintree golf course or near the apartments on the other side. Please place the cache where you found it. Happy Hunting and email me if you have any questions/concerns!

Congrats to Madkiwiman for FTF!!
