Geocache Description:

A small screw top container holding log book and pen, large enough for small swappable items and geocoins. Please re hide the cache carefully after finding, as this area is very popular with dog walkers, thanks.

The cache is placed on Church Hill near to St Peters Church and the Cemetery. The nearby Cockpit Hill was once used for Cock Fighting, although the exact location is unknown. The area also held horseraces up to 1840. Three Grand National winners were also trained here, Jealousy won the race in 1861, Eremon in 1907 and Jenkinstown in 1910

Well done to The Mighty Shark for a well earned FTF
