Gnaz 'Skunk-foot' Wimwinkle is a gnome who watched over our
family's garden. His mere presence in the garden not only helped
but insured a garden over flowing with beautiful flowers. He had
his own way of keeping varmints and pests away, hence the nick name
skunk-foot.
He came up missing the other day and we haven't been able to
find him. The other gnomes in the garden ether don't know or won't
tell us what happened to Gnaz.
Folk lore would say that these little creatures disappear
because they become restless and begin to feel "closed in."
However, it is more than likely some one is playing a prank or a
game of liberating gnomes from ownership.
Many have become the victim of "gnome-knapping". If Gnaz was
gnome-knapped he may have gotten away and made his way to a forest
like area until he is found and brought home.
Although they are kind to humans, gnomes are still very
secretive; they never allow humans to know the location of their
burrows, never teach non-gnomes their language, and appear only
when they want to.
Forest Gnomes prefer to live alone without contact to other
races. They are friends with elves and the animals who live in the
forests. Forest Gnomes are shy and reclusive, and often the mere
arrival of human beings within their wooded domain is enough to
send them into hiding.
You will need a Gnomal Positioning System to help you
find Gnaz.
Remember when you are looking for Gnaz, loud noises attract
attention and will scare the gnomes. Gnomes are wary of humans but
if you are quiet and look carefully you may spot him.
You will need to bring your own writing stick with you.
Gnaz may not have a writing stick with him when you find him.
