Geocache Description:

For more information relating to this series please see cache #1.

The earliest evidence of people in Sandwell Valley is in the form of flint tools from the Mesolithic period, but evidence of later periods is also present in the landscape, including the site of Sandwell Hall (home of the Earls of Dartmouth) and Priory Ruins (still evident today). Exhibitions at Sandwell Park Farm tell the story of the people who lived here.

In addition to two large car parks, there are large areas for picnicking and playing games, and Priory Woods Local Nature Reserve is just a short walk away.

This cache consists of a small plastic box containing a log, pencil and some swaps.

The Country Park can be found just off Junction 1 of the M5 motorway, at West Bromwich. Sandwell Park Farm, Salters Lane, West Bromwich, B71 4BG.
