Geocache Description:

Many of you remember and have hunted Yellow Jacket's original Find S. S. on Stone Mountain GC1B239 back in 2008. That cache was originally published on April 8, 2008. Stage 1 was such a well crafted and well hidden container that it took a little over 2 weeks for it to be found first by Dramatch on April 24, 2008. Yellow Jacket's cache page literally became a chat board forum. Visit the following link to visit the original cache page. (visit link) Being at the park almost every weekend, I must have attempted the hunt at least 8 times before I finally hit pay dirt.

I have resurrected this cache from the dead. Yellow Jacket went ahead and donated the original Ammo Can for reuse on this cache hunt. All of you previous finders will recognize the final container. There is a clean log book inside the cache. All of the original swag is still in the container as well.

I originally started this cache off rated as a 2.5 difficulty, but I have increased it to a 3.0 on July 1st and then to a 3.5 on July 8th. But after trying to hunt the new cache GC2BQ4G: "boats boats every where", I have decided to reduce the difficulty of this cache back down to a 2 on July, 16th. I have decided that Stage 1 really is not that hard. But as of March 2017 and seeing so many DNF's, and a log entry by our reviewer Lz33, I have decided to up the difficulty back to a 3.5. Yellow Jackets original was set to a difficulty of 5. Even though the coordinates to stage 1 are the same, I placed stage 1 at the point where my GPS lead me and is not in the same exact spot the original container was. But it is still located just off the hiking trail. My Garmin showed me as having a 12 foot accuracy when I placed the container(s)/object(s)

Yes, you read it correctly....CONTAINER(S)/OBJECT(S)!

I have put a slightly different spin on this cache. If you get really lucky, you will find this cache in only 2 stages. Others will find it in 3 or even 4 stages.

Some of you that have been around in the 1980's will remember the old railroad museum that was once located at stage 1. The museum was housed in 2 1930's era passenger railway cars. You can still see the old concrete ramps that were used to get the patrons into on one end and out the other. The end where stage 1 of this cache is located on was the entrance to the museum. You can still see the old cinder block posts that once held up the platform to the entrance.

Good luck and enjoy revisiting this hunt.
