Geocache Description:

Welcome to the City of Beloit Turtle Creek Floodplain Recreation Area.

This cache is one of a series of caches placed along some of the trails within this recreation area along approximately three miles of Turtle Creek between Milwaukee Road and Shopiere Road. Due to the nature of the floodplain valley and development along the creek before the city acquired the land, it is not possible to hike the entire length of the recreation area. In some areas, the trails will be only on one side of the creek and in others on both sides. This series of caches highlights each of the sections that are publically accessible without the need to cross any private property. Some sections of the trails are groomed for cross-country skiing when enough snow is on the ground. According to City of Beloit park usage regulations, you are forbidden from walking on the groomed track but you may walk on either side of it. The trails are open to hiking year around (except as noted for groomed xc tracks). In the winter, a number of people also snowshoe on these trails. When I placed the first three caches of this series, I traversed the trails on snowshoes.

The caches in this series could be called PNG caches except for one problem, you may not be able to park that close to the cache location--get some exercise do a little walking--it should be good for you! Please find a place to legally park before hunting these caches. Thank you. You will discover that this one is a PNG if you pick the right parking location. Parking at the other end will give you two choices of trails, both of which will be a good walk.

The containers used for this series are all identical waterproof pill containers (except as noted) that are slightly smaller than the traditional bison tube type container and considerably larger than a nano.
Please replace the cache container as found. Some are magnetic and others are attached with velcro. When putting the log sheet back in the container, it will be easiest to roll the log sheet and insert it into the threaded cap then screw the container onto the cap.

No hints should be needed.
In the event that Turtle Creek is over its banks, some of these caches may temporarily not be accessible.

Have fun! Get some exercise! Find a cache!
