Geocache Description:

Natural tree growth.

There is a stand of Eucalyptus Calycogona(Square fruited-mallee)along this road that has been recognised as significant to the area and this is important because of the depleting gene pool for this species on York Penninsula.As with many areas of our state large tracks of land have been cleared for food production but luckily for us some people had the forsight to not clear it all.This area has a number of natural vegetation reserves that are worthwhile visting and if you are not trying to get the numbers it would be good for you and the children to get out a bit more.There is a pencil and log book in the cache but cannot fit anything else
