Geocache Description:

For 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has helped youth become more than they ever though possible. And we'll continue that journey into the next century.

VOLUNTEER QUEST: Scouting volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, but all are committed to one thing -- leading youth to become responsible, caring, and competent citizens. This cache is to honor the countless hours given to youth by volunteers of any organization. THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE -- this cache is for you.

New York City is divided into eight geographical districts that service the scouting program. Each district conducts a monthly Roundtable where adults receive training to improve their unit programs and to hear about upcoming events.

The location of this cache is the Woodside LDS Church where Pathfinder District holds its Roundtables.

The cache is placed with permission of the Facilities Manager. Please be 'Courteous' when retrieving the cache and do not trounce on the plants in the garden area. After finding, please be sure the "placed with permission" side is facing up.

Look for some special treasures within. Try your luck in a monthly drawing for special 100th anniversary of Scouting geocoins. Fill out one of the enclosed blue and red cards and mail into the council office (address is on the card)

In addition to VOLUNTEER QUEST, we have hidden a series of other caches highlighting scouting programs. Find them all! Search GNYC, Treasures of Scouting on Geocaching.com.
