Greetings,

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so for the time being it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. We are no longer leaving caches stay disabled for extended periods of time.

Groundspeak and the geocaching community appreciate your contributions to geocaching and I hope to see this cache back in operation soon.

If you can get it back up and running in the next week or so contact me to get it re-listed. Otherwise plan to move it slightly and set up a new cache page.

[green]Most problems can be solved with good communication so reply back to the reviewer and we will do everything possible within the guidelines to get your cache published. It is best to give me as much information as possible instead of saying nothing at all. This will speed up the process and we can get your cache published. [/green]

MOGA MMX (2010)

Welcome to Mark Twain Lake-Indian Creek Recreation Area.

In striving to make each MOGA competition different and better than the last, The MOGA staff have hidden over 100 permanent caches in the Indian Creek Recreation Area and around the Mark Twain Lake, each with a SPACE theme. This cache will fall into 1 of the 5 different groups of caches hidden around the lake.

 • Spaceships - 16 caches named after rockets, shuttles, lunar modules, and spaceships still on the drawing board that have or will take people into space. These caches are for the MOGA 2010 Poker Run. They all will be a terrain of 1.5.
 • Celestial Bodies - 30 caches named after the planets and moons of our solar system. They will range from a terrain of 1.5 to 3.5.
 • Space Movies - 30 caches named after popular space movies. They will range from a terrain of 1.5 to 3.5.
 • Constellations - 23 caches named after the brillant configurations of stars visible in the night sky. They will range from a terrain of 1.5 to 3.5.
 • Sci-Fi Characters - 18 caches named after science fiction characters in movies and television. They will range from a terrain of 1 to 1.5.

Mark Twain Lake is accessible year round with the exception of a special Handicap Hunt. During off season, you must check in at the district office at 20642 Highway J, Monroe City, MO 63456, (573) 735-4097 and let them know you are hunting caches. A special window geocaching card may be issued. Some areas of the recreation area can be gated so you would have to park and walk in. Letting the office know will prevent a meeting with a ranger and having to explain why you were back there in the first place. During regular season, usually from April - October, the area is wide open. If you arrive at the guard shack near the campground area, tell them you are geocaching and they will issue you a geocaching pass. Check the following websites for more information.
