West Blocton, in its heydey was heavily populated with Italian Americans, and they had their own cemetery in the area. The Italian Catholic cemetery was consecrated in 1901. Most of the old grave markers are written in Italian.
The cache is NOT in the cemetery, but near it. Please, if you are interested, and so inclined, go in and take a look, but please DO NOT go into the cemetery at night. Due to years of vandalism and the fact this used to be a popular "party place" for the local youth, it is heavily patrolled during the night areas, and they frown on anyone being in there at night.
ALSO, BE CAREFUL OF THE BIG TREE WITH THE REALLY BIG THORNS. ANOTHER REASON NOT TO DO THIS ONE AT NIGHT!!!!
