Geocache Description:

GZ is a short walk from the carpark just off a secluded path near carpark. Cache is it base of a tree with 4 trunks. Good one for a night cache. Also a fun and easy cache for the geokids.

In 2007 Redcliffe shire council upgraded the Woorim Beach area and bulldozed the sand dunes to build a new park along the waterfront. These sand dunes were common breeding grounds for the loggerhead sea turtle which is an endangered species. More details of this can be found on (visit link) This cache is a small tribute to these turtles and their breeding grounds on this island. The cache is a 400ml sistema container. You have found the cache when you find the baby turtles and eggs. :-) Congrats to BrisTracker for FTF. Good Work :) Also may be a good idea to take the insect repellent to this one, seems like a lot of mossies are hiding out around this cache. *Originally placed by TURTLE2008 2/2/2010
