You are looking for a decon container wrapped in orange duct tape. I set the terrain at 3 because some bushwhacking will be required. There’s an assortment of British coin for FTF.
The posted coordinates are NOT the cache location, they are however a good place to park and start from. You will need to read the instructions provided and follow them to the Benchmark and the cache. Your GPSr can be a useful tool by projecting waypoints from known objects.
To begin with from the parking location using your GPSr, project a way point 220 feet North/Northwest. If you can’t project a way point just walk in that direction until your GPSr shows you to be 220 feet away from the starting point. This should put you at a transmission tower. Now from the north leg of the transmission tower project a way point 30 feet Northeast. Keep your eyes open for a white witness post. The cache is a bright orange decon container hanging in a tree between you and the witness post.
The bench mark stamped “797 RESET” and dated 1967 is a logable Benchmark (PID RD0157), so take a picture of it and log it. For fun I included the text description from the NGS Data Sheet that I used to locate this spot. More often then not the GPS coordinates for a bench mark are as much as 400 feet off and require a good description as well as some kind of fixed land mark that you can reference from. I’ve done the hard part for you yet given you a fun multi cache to find. If you enjoyed this you might try your hand at finding a bench mark on your own.
