Geocache Description:

Light Bulb Bench

During the best of times, a cool bench will have an outstanding view. Other times, an ordinary, hidden bench will surprise its finders with a breathtaking view. This time, an intriguing bench has no view whatsoever.

In 1982, Ries Niemi completed a sculpture for Seattle City Light's Creston Nelson Substation. In 2000, he redesigned and rebuilt the sculpture and moved it to City Light's North Service Center. A new galvanized steel base was constructed, including a coffee table, and he bolted on the original aluminum cast light bulbs, switches and outlets.

Bring a pen, and happy caching!
