Maryhill Fire Station is part of The Woolwich Fire Department. They also have stations in Conestogo, St. Jacobs, Floradale and Elmira. Woolwich Fire Dept has a total of 130 personnel including a full-time Township Fire Chief, a full-time Deputy Fire Chief, a full-time assistant, a part-time Chief Fire Prevention Officer, and 5 District Chiefs. The department has served the community for over 100 years and has several 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation volunteer fire fighters.

The fire department is responsible for a wide range of activities. These include firefighting and all categories of rescue matters along with the handling and disposing of hazardous materials. Performing activities such as the removal of trapped victims from vehicles or building may be required. The firefighters are also trained in advanced first aid and would assist in the treatment and evacuation of individuals when required. Our fire personnel train on a continuous basis to ensure their ability to respond to emergencies with the township and handle them in a fast and efficient manner.
