Brunel's Arches

About Brunel
Isambard Kingdom Brunel was a 19th-century engineer, who was responsible for the creation of many transportation-related advances such as a series of steamships including the SS Great Britain and most importantly for this cache - the Great Western Railway.
The Great Western Railway linked London to Bristol and the South-West of England (and would later extend to South Wales). Many notable creations of Brunel's are along this line - London Paddington station and Box Tunnel to name a couple, as well as the railway viaduct in Chippenham.
The line here was opened in May 1841. The 9-arch viaduct was one of many designed by Brunel on the route and it was widened in 1848.

You won't struggle to find parking nearby, either:
- for free at N 51° 27.821 W 002° 06.952
- or at N 51° 27.681 W 002° 07.252 (nearer but dearer)
This is also a 5-minute walk from Chippenham railway station. Exit to the north of the station, walk out the car park (exit in the west corner), go straight on down to the main road, turn left, and follow your GPSr to the cache.
A nano cache near the centre of Chippenham. Probably wheelchair accessible, though I'm not sure. You will need to bring your own pen or pencil, and possibly something pointy or tweezer-shaped to facilitate with the removal of the log.
Please be careful while searching for and replacing the cache as this is near a busy road junction. Enjoy.
Well Done to Gralorn for FTF.
