An diesem Standort treffen Vergangenheit und Zukunft in einmaliger Weise aufeinander. Ursprünglich wurde hier in Golm-Eiche die 1951 gegründete Hochschule des MfS, später Juristische Hochschule, beherbergt. Nach der Wende wurde der Standort 1991 von der Universität übernommen und zusammen mit den großen Forschungsverbünden zum Wissenschaftspark Golm ausgebaut.
Dieser Multi führt Euch in 8 Stationen plus Final über den Campus der Universität und durch den Wissenschaftspark.
Die oben angegebenen Koordinaten führen Euch zu Stage1.
Naturgemäß ist es hier während des Semesters zu den normalen Arbeitsstunden ziemlich muggelig - doch sollten sich alle Stationen auch dann bewältigen lassen. Entspannter geht es am Wochenende.
Die einzelnen Stationen sind unterschiedlich ausgestaltet, mal ein klassischer Mikro, mal eine Aufgabe - Ihr werdet schon sehen.
Ein Notizbuch und Stift werden Euch wertvolle Dienste leisten, vielleicht auch ein Taschenrechner!
Wer noch nie eine Peilung vorgenommen hat, sollte sich vorher mit dem Thema befassen.
Alle Stationen, bis auf die letzten Meter zum Final können auch mit Kinderwagen oder Rollstuhl erreicht werden. Das heißt aber nicht, dass man die Stationen selbst oder den Cache aus dem Rollstuhl (oder dem Kinderwagen) bergen kann. Der Weg ist etwa 3km lang, und Ihr müßt auch wieder zurück. Daher gab's eine T-Wertung von 2.5 (1.5 für die Beschaffenheit + 1 für die Länge)

At this location in Potsdam history meets the future in a unique way. Originally the Hochschule des MfS, later Juristische Hochschule, - the college of the east German secret police, founded 1951 - had its home on this campus. After the German reunification this campus was acquired by the University of Potsdam in 1991 and developed as Wissenschaftspark Golm - science parc, together with two of Germany's science foundations - the Max-Planck-Society and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
This multi cache takes you all the way through the university campus and the science parc along 10 stages plus final.
The coordinates given in the listing will take you to stage1.
Obviously there will be a lot of muggles around during normal business hours in the term. However all stages should be doable even during these times, but a more relaxed approach will be possible on weekends and public holidays.
Each station is designed differently and anything from a "standard" micro to a difficult task is possible - but see yourself.
A pocketbook and a pen will be a good companion, as may be a calculator!
If you have never done a destination point calculation with distance and bearing until now, it is a good idea to make yourself familiar with this technique before you pursue this cache.
All stages except the last few meters to the final are on or near well paved roads or hiking trails that are accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. But this does not mean you can actually grab each station right out of a wheelchair (or stroller). The hike is about 3km (2Mi), and you will also need to walk most of it back to your car. Therefore I chose a T ranking of 2.5 (1.5 for the condition of the way + 1 for its length)
