This cache is located within Shubie Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. It is located on a small island on Lake Micmac. The cache is accessible ONLY when there is thick ice on the lake, or when all the ice has melted and you get to the island by other means. Please ensure that the ice is frozen completely before trying to access this cache during the winter.
The mainland closest to the cache is part of the off-leash dog area, so you will most likey encounter some curious pups while caching.
My smallest dog, Chai, loves running across the ice to visit this little island, so I started calling it Chailand, hence the name of the cache.
In a previous life, the cache container contained my doggies' favorite snack, Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter. It is now all camo'd up and full of geocaching goodies.
There is another cache located on one of the bigger islands nearby, and a whole bunch more throughout the park, so be sure to check those ones out as well.
