From the suggested car parking area N53 32 023 W001 39 794 this is an easy walk of about 15 mins up the path to the first cache; this is a 35mm canister which will give you the clue and coordinates for the main cache. The main cache is a click & lock box with room to trade.
Royd is the old Yorkshire word for road and Moor is heath hence the title.
The reservoir was completed in 1934 and has pleasant views across farmland and beyond.
Look towards the east to see all 3 lots of cooling towers in the distance.
From the main cache the path carries on all the way around the reservoir. OK on a fine day but when it’s wet it gets very muddy and swampy .
