For the fourth consecutive year, come and celebrate
the start of Summer caching with the Tri-State Geocachers! We've
had a great time kicking off the Summer caching season with this
event very near the Tri-State point of PA/NY/NJ - a pot-luck picnic
in a great park with a great group of people, and plenty of
opportunity for after-event group caching for those who are
interested.
Join us on Sunday, June 20, at 12 noon in Matamoras'
Airport Park for TST4. Kick off the Summer season with our annual
picnic, lots of geochat, and of course, caches. This is open to
cachers and families and friends, anyone interested in joining in
the geo-fun! We'll again have an activity for the younger ones that
will reveal the coordinates for the rest of us for the new caches
placed around the tri-state area for the event, so for those of you
who want to 'cache in' on the opportunity, you'll get first shot at
plenty of new caches in three different states.
We've got some fun activities in store for you, including
our event raffle with several geo-items to be won. There will be
some great geo-items donated by CacheAdvance, Delorme, GSAK,
CoinsAndPins, OtterBox, GCSoft and more donated by event attendees.
We would be happy to receive items from you - if you'd like to help
support the event by donating items, bring them along. We'll also
have some other fun geo-activities for all ages with some prizes to
give away. Playground equipment is nearby. In
honor of Father's Day and all the Dads out there, we've got one
special game planned specifically for father/son or father/daughter
teams in attendance. So geo-kids, please bring your Dad along for
the day's fun!
TST4 is running, at the scheduled time, rain or
shine.

A TST4 Traffic Bulletin...
The best way into Airport Park for
the event is to use Tenth Street or Sixth Street; Tenth Street is
preferred as it will take you almost right to the
pavilion.
Due to construction on the bridge
between the towns of Port Jervis and Matamoras, the bridge is only
open one way, from Port Jervis to Matamoras. While this will not
affect travel to the event, please keep this in mind if you choose
to go from the event to cache sites in the town of Port Jervis or
extreme Northern NJ - the best way to get there from the event site
is to drive toward the West out of the town and take Route 84 East
one exit to Port Jervis.

Please include in your log what items (meat
items for the grill, rolls, sides/salads, desserts, etc.) you'll be
bringing for the pot-luck meal. This can include meat
items to cook at the barbecue pit in our pavilion, where we'll
again enjoy the traditional Tri-State Geocake, prepared this year
by Mrs Gilwell.
