[NOR] Historien
Åsa kraftstasjon ble satt i drift i 1913 og drives i dag av Ringeriks-Kraft. Kraftstasjonen har sitt inntak i Damtjern på Krokskogen. Tilførselen skjer gjennom en rørgate som har en fallhøyde på 365 meter. Kraftstasjonen kan sluke inntil 400 liter/sekund og har to peltonturbiner, hver på 300 kilowatt. Den midlere årsproduksjonen ligger på 300 GWh, noe som tilsvarer strømforbruket til 180 husstander gjennom et år. Kraftstasjonen har Norges eldste peltonturbiner som fortsatt er i drift.
[ENG] The history
Åsa power plant was set into operation in 1913 and is today operated by the local power provider, Ringeriks-Kraft. The power plant has its intake in Damtjern at Krokskogen. Its supply is through a pipeline which has a height difference of 365 meters. The power station can swallow up to 400 liters/second and is set up with two Pelton turbines, each with a capacity of 300 kilowatts. The average annual production is 300 GWh, which corresponds to the power consumption of totally 180 homes throughout the year. The powerplant has Norway's oldest Pelton turbines still in operation.
