Geocache Description:

A magnetic cache with log book only so BYOP.

The cache is placed near to Top lock, the first of the 16 locks on the Stourbridge Canal and close to leys junction. The leys was formally home to iron works, foundries and collieries. The Stourbridge Canal was opened in1779 and linked the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal with the Dudley Canal. The flight of 16 locks stretch for just over a mile and fall 145ft down to Stourbridge. Please note the canal cannot be accessed from Leys Road Bridge but there is parking room for 1 or 2 cars at nearby Brierley Hill Road Bridge but don’t block access and please be careful when pulling back out onto the road. Great stealth is needed, as this is a high muggle area. Congratulations Maxtrev FTF
