Geocache Description:

PLEASE NOTE: All caches in this series are hidden within the coverage area of the station. They are not located at the fire station.

There are three fire stations in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock. This is Innerkip Fire Station. The other stations in the township are located in Hickson and Tavistock. Approximately 20 volunteers firefighters are assigned to each station.
The fire department is responsible for a wide range of activities. These include firefighting and all categories of rescue matters along with the handling and disposing of hazardous materials. Performing activities such as the removal of trapped victims from vehicles or building may be required. The firefighters are also trained in advanced first aid and would assist in the treatment and evacuation of individuals when required. Our fire personnel train on a continuous basis to ensure their ability to respond to emergencies with the township and handle them in a fast and efficient manner.
