This cache will bring you to the new Freedom Point area next to Vitale Park. This area was created to help preserve and enhance green space on the lake. You can park at Vitale Park and walk over the Freedom Bridge to Freedom Point or you can park at the Freedom Point entrance. Dick Palermo and his wife, Mary Anne, donated the funds to build and install Freedom Bridge at Vitale Park. Also, you can visit the Chip Holt Nature Center in Vitale Park which offers outdoor recreation programming to the public and schools in the area. This park offers beautiful scenery and a great place for families to spend time. My family enjoys coming here to see nature and take walks. In the summer you can have a picnic in the park and watch concerts on Sunday nights. In the winter, you can see people ice fishing on the lake and enjoy the majestic winter time beauty of the area.
About the cache-I won this cache container at a geocaching gathering at Osage farm and have been looking for just the right spot to place it. This cache container was created by Paleoman52. You will be looking for a well-cammoed lock and lock container. If you have a camera with you, I’d love to see pictures from your caching fun! You can sit on the nearby bench for a photo op or take a picture with the lake as a beautiful background.
