Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the listed coords! You gotta listen to my army story first. Cache could be accessible by wheelchair. Cache is located at N47 4?.??? W117 2?.???. Obviously if you have army knowledge you will fly through this one.

The whole time I was in the army I met lots of people. People from all over the world! I wanted to tell you about some of them and there job duties.

I guess I should start with my best friend while I was in. His name was Perez and he was a crewmember for the howitzer. A Cannon Crewmember is an important part of the Army's success on the battlefield. Artillery teams are used to support infantry and tank units in combat, but also have responsibilities during peacetime. Cannon Crewmembers work on cannons known as 'howitzers,' a heavy artillery machine piece with single-barrel firing capability. Misc Duties: Start and maintain wire and radio communications, Identify target locations, Operate self-propelled howitzers, ammunition trucks and other vehicles, Participate in reconnaissance operations, Use computer generated fire direction data to set elevation of cannon tube for loading and firing and more.

Moving on to my next buddy that I hung out with the most was Lamp (yes his last name was lamp!) He was with the infantry. The infantry is the main land combat force and backbone of the Army. It's equally important in peacetime and in combat. The Infantryman's role is to be ready to defend our country in peacetime and to capture, destroy and repel enemy ground forces during combat. Misc Duties Assists in the performance of reconnaissance operations. Employs, fires, and recovers anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. Locates and neutralizes mines. Operates, mounts/dismounts, zeros, and engages targets using night vision sight. Operates and maintains communications equipment and operates in a radio net. Operates in a NBC contaminated area. Constructs field expedient firing aids for infantry weapons. Performs as a member of a fire team during a movement to contact, reconnaissance, and security, an attack, defense, situational training exercises and all infantry dismounted battle drills.

Next comes me!!! I was a Cav Scout. The Cavalry Scout is the commander's eyes and ears on the battlefield. When information about the enemy is needed, they call on the Scouts. Cavalry Scouts engage the enemy with anti-armor weapons and scout vehicles in the field, track and report enemy movement and activities, and will direct the employment of various weapon systems onto the enemy. Misc Duties: Performs duties as crewmember, operates, and performs operator maintenance on scout vehicles. Armored Airborne Reconnaissance Vehicle, and Cavalry Fighting Vehicle, crew-served weapons, and communications equipment. Loads, clears, and fires individual and crew-served weapons. Operates and performs operator maintenance on wheeled vehicles. Assists in the recovery of wheeled and tracked vehicles. Secures, prepares, and stows ammunition on scout vehicles. Performs mounted and dismounted navigation. Serves as member of observation and listening post. Gathers and reports information on terrain features and enemy strength, disposition and equipment. Applies principles of except and evasion. Collects data for the classification of routes, fords, tunnels, and bridges. Performs dismounted patrols Employs principles of cover and concealment and camouflage. Assists with construction of light field fortifications, laying and removal of mines, and emplacing demolitions. Performs dismounted patrols. Requests and adjusts indirect fire.

Last but not least is my buddy Peone, He was an Audio Equipment Repairer, he works with equipment such as Teleconferencing VI, and are primarily responsible for supporting Army operations with visual information equipment and systems as well as repairing.Misc Duties Operates and performs unit and higher levels of maintenance on television receivers/monitors and cameras; studio accessories consisting of computer controlled video switchers and audio mixers/consoles, synchronous generators, distribution equipment, and amplifying equipment; motion/still photo imaging equipment; closed circuit systems; visual imagery satellite, microwave, RF transmission and cable distribution systems associated with VI operations; operates and maintains VI equipment in a Video Teleconferencing facility; operates and performs PMCS on assigned vehicles and power generators.

Well that's about it for now I guess, I hope you all enjoyed the info. Now go find that cache soldier!
