Another nice spot with a view, so many in the Moccasin Island Tract/River Lakes Conservation Area. From this location you can look out over lake Winder, as well look down on Moccasin Island itself. When you reach this spot you have reached the end of the white trail. It is not that likely that you will find muggles in the area, but if you do, please protect the cache. I certainly hope that you spend a little time enjoying the area. The trail to the cache should be easy to find and follow, so don't worry about that.
You can get to the cache by land or by water. I have seen bike tracks up that way, so if your into that it should work. Note: no bikes for me, all walking!
The parking area is at the very end of Wickham Road, you have to follow the dirt road to the right at the end of Wickham Road asphalt. - parking coords = N28 13.823 W80 48.667
I have picked up a lot of hunter/hiker trash while exploring the area, please consider being a CITO cacher.
In the St Johns River area hunting is allowed at different times of the year. You can check my hunting calendar at "www.tinyurl.com/techunts" or click here to see it now. If in the area during hunting season, wear your orange or bright colors.
