Geocache Description:

A nice easy cache near the church in Beccles, a very pretty suffolk broadland town.

you are looking for a small container containing log book and a few swaps .

stelth will be required because of the number of muggles about, please place cache back exactly as found,

Beccles church is in the centre of the town. It has its tower separated from the main building containing the nave. The tower is a prominent landmark from many miles around

It was at this church in 1749 that the mother of Horatio Nelson, Catherine Suckling, married the Reverend Edmund Nelson (a former curate of Beccles).

The Suffolk poet George Crabbe married Sarah Elmy at Beccles church in the 18th century

The west face of Beccles church tower is the only one of the four faces that does not have a clock face. This face looks over the River Waveney into Norfolk, and the story is that the Suffolk men
'would not give the time of day'
to people from Norfolk.
