This cache is here because I loved "The Birds", Hitchcock and his way of creating areas out of fantasy. This spot was massively changed by the magic of Hollywood when this film was made. I remember having gone into the original Tides when I was a kid (see background photo) and seeing the foundation sit for a long time after it burned. This area was very different in those days. I was lucky enough to have an opening here to set a cache as this camo needed a specific spot.
Park as though you are going to use the pay phone (northeast corner of lot). This will not be an easy cache, and you'll need to watch out for the CAMERAS that will be looking at you. Be careful!!! I don't think the cameras are always watched, but maybe they will be if you drive up with no one else there, go around back and start looking suspicious! Driving up behind this business when no one else is there will be very odd unless you go in before your search, even if you just ask directions (or ask if they have a pay phone!). When you find the cache, stay put and sign in. DON'T go out into the driveway area!!! Stealth! And please don't give anything away in your log!Enjoy.
