General:
This cache is a traditional
cache which contains the normal goodies. It is located in a grey
panel in the corner of a brick wall. Cache is accessible from
the street and there is no need to enter the premises. Cache is
planted with permission from the owner. If you have to record
a DNF please make sure that you are at the correct house, or town
or whatever. Use number 363 for lock.
This
way point will take you to my little place in the sun. This is my
home and my fort when I am not in Gauteng . If I am at home you are
more than welcome to visit the "King" of this fort. If I am not
available then the "Queen" will make the decisions and she
will probably not let you in for obvious
reasons.
I will
use this cache as a TB safe house. If you are stuck with any
travellers then feel free to drop them and I will move them
around. It should be safe for them. Please record the drop in the
log book. If there is any travellers feel free to take some or all
of them.
I
added a cell number to this cache. If you have an emergency
then you could use this cache to contact me or my wife. Or you
could use it to say "Hi and Bye" to the occupants of the
fort. If you are German it is compulsory to speak
German. If you understand the German culture you will also
understand that you have to announce your visit before arriving at
the cache - in case you plan to visit the fort. This is
not needed when only a cache find is done. It is also a German
custom to give flowers or chocolates to the wife when you visit the
fort. Please refrain from using any black language as my wife could
choose to ignore you or worse.
Risk and
Hazards (1 is low, 3 is average, 5 is extreme):
- You should have the
opportunity to meet three dogs. The little foxy is called Buks. The
middle size one is called Terry and the German shepherd is
called Rex. Rex is our cacher dog and he will probably be worried
when you visit this cache. Be careful and do not approach the
two bigger black dogs. They are extremely aggressive. There is a
sliding gate which is always kept close and you are safe. Do not
exit the vehicle when the green sliding gate is open. They are
trained and they will attack without any warning signs. Do not
approach the gate and make sure that you have all children under
control. Do not put your hand or arm through the green sliding
gate. You will be a one armed bandit after this stunt. If they
bother you too much then you must say the following key words
"Rex, agter toe", "Terry agter toe", "Buks agter toe".
Your challenge is to identify the correct dog. If it is Rex then he
will not respond if you use the word "Terry". No other words must
be used and you must say it firm and loud. Do it a couple of
times and they should respond. If they do not then clap your hands
once to get their attention and repeat the key words again. If you
used the commands and they responded please record it in your log.
Risk is about 3.
- Muggles and muggers - it
should be safe but this is RSA so keep your eyes open when you
visit this cache. Park your vehicle in the street if you are
concerned so that you can not be blocked with another vehicle. Keep
the engine running and watch your surroundings. Please do not leave
grandma, grandpa, wife, husband or any naughty children at the
cache location when you feel there is any "danger". Think of the
consequences before you hit the accelerator pedal. Muggles and
muggers are a risk factor of 2. Leaving family members behind could
also be a 2.
