If you are the first to find this cache please indicate in your log
entry (in the cache and on the web page) if you are willing to hide
the next in the series. If not then this "honour" will pass to the
second finder, and so on....
The cacher who is First to Find will, if they accept the challenge,
hide the next cache in the series, following the criteria
below:
- The cache name will be Hampshire Alphabet Chain - (the next
letter alphabetically) is for ......
- The cache must be somewhere in Hampshire.
- The cache can be of any type / size / difficulty.
- The cache location must be related to the appropriate letter of
the alphabet, either by place name or some other relationship -
this will probably be necessary for some of the more difficult
letters...
- The cache will include these instructions / rules to ensure that
the chain keeps growing. Let's see how quickly we can get through
to Z...
This cache is placed close to one of the many village cricket
pitches in Hampshire, at Swan Green, Lyndhurst, and you can often
see matches being played here in the summer. At these times a
little discretion may be required, but it should be quiet enough
otherwise. Parking can be found at N50 52.370 W001 35.390. We often
go walking/ running here, and it is always muddy, so boots or
wellies are definitely recommended. If you carry on up this path
over the hill for 0.4 miles, and then turn right, this makes a nice
circular walk, with a very pleasant watering hole towards the end.
This cache is placed according to the New Forest agreement, and
night caching is not permitted.

Logging
Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of
planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear
your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the
hide, the journey or location, or if you feel that some cache
maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or "copy and paste"
logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it
doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your
adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this
in mind when entering your log.
