This is one of our favourite loops taking you out of the village and into the surrounding countryside. We enjoy both walking and cycling this route but would recommend walking boots / mountain bike’s as the ground can be soft underfoot. As the route is on very quiet lanes, and bridleways, it is safe for children, possible to cycle all the way around, or even attempt on horseback.
If walking, the loop can be combined with our other series: The Ribchester Hoard which contains seven more caches.
Ribchester boasts an excellent Roman Museum, well worth a visit (N53°48.631, W2°31.946). Also of note are two accessible Roman remains: Roman Granaries & Roman Bath House.
This series of caches is set to encourage you to explore the surrounding countryside. Parking is available in the centre of the village, where there are public toilets, a café, and a couple of pubs all serving excellent food.

Lovely spot to admire the view, if lucky you can watch deer in the fields below. Please hide well.
Container is reasonably large and so ideal for hiding coins / dog tags.
