Subiendo por la carretera de Málaga a Colmenar (A-7000),
poco antes de llegar al puerto, llegareis hasta la Fuente de la
Reina. A la izquierda de la fuente sale una pista de tierra en
dirección al Aula de naturaleza de Las Contadoras. El
mirador, de nombre Francisco Vázquez Sell, está
siguiendo la pista y suele haber sitio para aparcar.
Climbing the road from Malaga to Colmenar (A-7000), shortly before
reaching the top you will arrive to the “Fuente de la
Reina” (the source of the Queen). To the left of the source
there is a trail of land, going to the “Aula de Las
Contadoras”. The viewpoint named Francisco Vázquez
Sell can be found following the track and there is usually room for
parking.
Aunque llegar al mirador es fácil, los alrededores son
bastante escarpados. Las vistas de Málaga son
impresionantes.
Como curiosidad, justo debajo del mirador hay un helipuerto.
Si os apetece, después de disfrutar de las vistas
podéis recorrer un bonito sendero que sale del aparcamiento
hacia el Aula de naturaleza de Las Contadoras. Os recomiendo
también que os paseis por el cache de
El Cochino que no queda demasiado lejos.
Although reaching the viewpoint is easy, the surroundings are quite
steep. Malaga views are breathtaking. As a curiosity, just below
the viewpoint is a heliport. If you fancy, you can traverse a nice
trail from the parking lot towards the Aula de Las Contadoras and
enjoy the views. I recommend as well a visit to the cache of
El Cochino that is not very far from there.
