Cache is located in Paynetown State Recreation Area near the Bluebird trail. This trail was built by Eagle Scout Mark Pemberton in 1998.
After coming out here to do a little hiking, we decided this fine trail needed a cache. It is a good place for a quick weekday evening hike.
Along the trail you will see some old bluebird houses. Bluebird numbers fell during the 20th century because of competition with introduced starlings and house sparrow for nesting holes. Bluebird houses built to exclude these invasive species have helped increase the bluebird population.
Congratulations to the Galac-Brick Empire for braving the slush and being the FTF!
