Geocache Description:

Standing here is a small history lesson.

This bridge was build in 1982 to span Marsh Creek. It was named after the most famous ship built in Saint John (and there have been many over the years). Over 150 years ago, in 1851 the Marco Polo was built near here and became known as "The Fastest Ship in the World."

At the official opening of this small but very important bridge linking two sections of the city were: Hon. G.S. Merrithew, Mayor Elsie Wayne, Hon. Nancy Clark-Teed, and the Hon. WG Bishop.

Why not add your name to this pretegious list by signing the log? (when you find it).
