Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Perch Creek Conservation Area. I found this area about 20 years ago as a boy scout. We were planting the trees that are currently growing on the west side of the park. During a lunch break I wondered off into the woods and found what may have been the farm owners old junk yard...Hence Perch Creek Junk Yard. While placing this cache I came across new items including a metal fence as well as several tracks from deer.

The cache is a large ammo can and is clearly marked as a geocache. The area can be swampy and is uneven in most places...you can tell that the area was once ploughed. There are thorn bushes everywhere but there are routes around them. There are a few different ways to tackle this. You can follow the trail on the east side of the property and cut in or bushwack from one of several points. Please follow the natural trails that there. There use to be an old barn foundation and silo. From N42 59.186 W82 19.097 it would have been located just to the NE. The foundation is covered over with plants and to date I have not been able to locate it. By looking on google maps, it is possible to see the ring where the silo was. When you find the cache take a look around and see what you can find. There is an old Plymouth partial buried, a part to an old wagon and many more things.
