The Trench Niche Cache! This is our first cache, and we placed it just off the beaten path at the entrance to our neighborhood. This cache may be back in the woods just a bit, but it is still kid friendly!
Should be loaded with lots of good swag...

This cache is located in a shallow trench a couple hundred feet back from the main road. Our subdivision has a nice bike path that runs most the length of the main road.
Park in a safe spot, and the cache is on the EAST side of the road (the left side as you are facing it if you come in from County Road 11 by Joe's Italian).
When you see some yellowish tan and brown pieces of power utility equipment that service the neighborhood, this is at your entrance spot into the woods. There is a clearly obvious path that appears to be part of an old logging road or hunting club road, now slightly grown over.
As you near the cache, you will notice a shallow trench off to your right side. This is when you start looking. The cache is a .30 cal ammo can painted black, brown, and green, and it is reasonably well hidden. No digging required, but you may need to move some sticks. It is in just about the perfect sized hole for the smaller size .30 cal ammo cans!
If you take something, PLEASE leave something, and please put it back where you found it!..
Neighborhood kids sometimes go back into this area, but the chance of muggles seeing yous is probably pretty small. But, it is obvious that some people leave behind more than they should. Wouldn't hurt to pack in a garbage bag and help keep the area clean!
