I Don't Care if I Ever Get Back Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ChipnDonna: After 3 DNFs I visited the site today and found that the Palo Alto Parks maintenance folks mowed the area along the bike path where the cache had been. There was no longer any sign of the cache after the ground and plants had been chewed up in the mower. This is the second of caches I've placed along this path that have been chewed up and digested by the muggle mowers. This cache lasted a little over 6 years and was found by 183 cachers. A good run for a home run ball cache!

Geocache Description:

We found a discarded “container” when logging a cache near this location. My husband made some modifications to the container and we thought we’d return it to its “homeland” in its official cache form.

If you have feedback on the ratings or the hide, we’d love to hear from you.

Have fun!

P.S. Many thanks to ChipnDonna for assisting us with getting our very first cache hidden!

Update: May 2, 2010 Today we received an email from Shroomie letting us know that one of his friends came to visit him today and told him that his dog came home with a geocache.

Fortunately, when the friend described the cache, Shroomie had an idea it was our cache - as the friend lives near Bol Park and Shroomie had found one there as described. We immediately called Shroomie's friends, picked up the cache and placed it back in its location.

Congrats to Shroomie for finding this cache twice!
