Geocache Description:

March 15, 2021 - Jimmie Johnson has ended his NASCAR career and has moved on to open wheel racing in the Indy Car series. This means he will compete in the 2021 Indianapolis 500. Lets go Jimmy!!

November 20, 2016 - Jimmie Johnson won his 7th NASCAR title tonight, tying him with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhard in a 3 way tie for all time leaders with 7 NASCAR championships. When I first placed this cache Jimmie had won 4 championships. Since then he has won 3 more championships. At age 41 JJ sits equal with the greatest of all time. Congratulations Jimmie!

February 21, 2010 - This cache is dedicated to Jimmie Johnson, the winner of 4 consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup championships. I know that NASCAR has absolutely nothing to do with geo caching - to say the least they are 2 very different communities, but I digress. The point is that Jimmie overcame many obstacles, was very patient as he learned his craft, and now he enjoys the fruits of his labour - now that sounds a lot like geo-caching! The cache is in the south area of Rouge National Park and you will have to take the trail from the valley to the 3rd upper level of the ridge.

For parking use the parking that is accessible from the north side of Hwy 2 / Kingston Rd at the Rouge River.

Congrats to CanoePaddler for the FTF!

This is a high muggle area, so please be stealthy, re-hide the cache as found, and replace the natural cover.
