"A Sensory Garden is a mixture of special flowers, shrubs, trees and herbs planted in a way to benefit the blind, the developmentally impaired and disabled persons to appreciate and learn about a variety of flora textures, perfumes and growth patterns through sense and by touch. The Quota Club of Camden Inc. commenced fundraising in 1987 as a Bicentennial Project. The construction was carried out by Camden Municipal Council. The official opening was held on 16 November 1991 by Felicity and Joseph Formosa, two deaf children the Quota Club assisted with Cochlear Implants"
