Welcome welcome! Welcome to the the McPike Mansion! The most haunted house in Alton, which happens to be the most haunted small towns in North America. Why don't you sit back while I tell you a little about this eerie abode.
The Mansion was built by architect Lucas Pfeiffenberger. Original owner of the Mansion was Henry Guest McPike.
The McPike family owned 15 acres of land, then known as Mount Lookout Park. Here McPike, a horticulturist, perfected his McPike Grape. The family lived in this, their country home, until 1936. The McPike family sold the home to Paul Laichinger who resided there and put many of the rooms out for rent so many tenants came and went until 1945 when Mr Laichinger died. It is at this time that mysterious encounters began to be recorded. Apparently many of the documented occurrences may have been the ghost of Mr. Laichinger and his many tenants. Unexplained phenomena includes the sound of children laughing and apparitions moving about the house; one of which has been named Sarah who was believed to have been a servant who resided in the mansion. She has been reported as a gentle wandering spirit who would leave living residents and visitors with a feeling of being hugged or touched. There have been reports of Paul Laichinger's image peering through windows and has been seen doing chores around the place as he did when he was living and it is rumoured that the ghost of a lady who once drowned in one of the bathtubs is quite active. It is not uncommon to find in photos of the mansion, orbs, balls of light, even figures appearing in the windows that were not seen by the human eye when the photo was taken.
The final is not on the mansions' property. So there is no need to trespass!! I mean surely you don't want to trespass haunted property and suffer the dire consequences, now do you?
UPDATE.. the ghosts of this haunted area finally said enuff is enuff. i can't say for sure they took the sign or who did, but it is most definitely gone. i don't indeed on aggravating the evil spirits by placing another physical sign. in leu of eye sight, you will need to talk the spirits and or use your ESP The given coordinates will take you to this magnificent, extremely haunted mansion. Either park or drive slowly by this old building in order for your mind to catch an image of the old sign via your mental vibes, waves or your feeling of the reckoning. After noting the numbers down, unless you have a great memory, jot them down. now use the numbers and letters from the sign and the given formula to unlock the coordinates to the final.
For the final you will use this formula:
The four digit year will be represented by the letters ABCD in their proper order.

E = C MULTIPLIED BY D
F = Take the sum of the number of letters in the sign and D and subtract that number from 400.
G = (D PLUS B) - C
H = Take the number of vowels in the sign and multiply it by the sum of A, B, C and D. Then take that number and add the number of vowels.
