Wallace's Stone is a protected ancient monument the cache is placed some distance away but directly in line with the Sherrifmuir Inn.
Wallace's Stone is the only one of 6 stones now standing in a line going North.
Legend has it that William Wallace marked the site of a battle with the English with this stone. Unfortunately historically this doesn't make sense as the placing of this standing stone is dated a couple of thousand years earlier and no such encounter by William Wallace was recorded.
Nice story though.
Line up Wallace's Stone with the Sheriffmuir Inn and you're there.
The cache is placed on the Wallace's Stone side of the fence. Beyond the fence is a drystane dyke. The cache is NOT in that.
