Geocache Description:

Welcome to my garden puzzle cache. THE ABOVE COORDINATES WILL NOT TAKE YOU TO THE CACHE. To learn the location of the cache you must solve the puzzle below.

I love gardening. I especially love bright bold colorful flowers. This cache tests your knowledge of different types of flowers. If you are unfamiliar with garden flowers perhaps you can enlist the help of a gardening friend.
This puzzle is well suited for those times when the weather prohibits going caching outdoors. You can figure out this puzzle from the comfort of your home.

Shall we get started?

Below are a number of sentences. Hidden within each sentence is the name of a flower. You must identify the flower hidden in each sentence.
For example in the first sentence,
1. Can Nathan recite the alphabet?

the flower is a canna. Did you find it?

1. Can Nathan recite the alphabet?

Find the flowers in the following sentences to get the numbers for the coordinates to this cache.

  6. We can’t go jogging until I lace up my new sneakers.
  7. Although our team made it to the state finals they would never be national champions.

Once you have figured out the flower hidden in the sentence then you have to identify its picture. Every picture has a number value assigned to it. That number goes in the coordinates below.

N 1 2 . 3 4 . 5 6 7 W 8 9 10 .11 12 . 13 14 15
For example, in the above coordinates the value for the flower in the first sentence goes in the number 1 space. The value for the flower in the second sentence goes into the second space and so on...
Canna is the flower in the first sentence. The picture of the canna has a value of 4. That four goes into the first space giving you
N 4 __ .__ __. __ __ __ W __ __ __ . __ __ .__ __ __
Finish filling in the rest of the coordinates.
