Geocache Description:

The Howe House provides a unique experience in looking into the past. The house was home to three generations of the Howe family. Richard Howe purchased the site in the mid 1800's and, as a master mason, began work on the structure unitl Civil War service interupted the construction. The view from the cache location looks today much as it must have for the family until granddaughter Sarah died 100 years after the house was completed.

The Howe House, barn and grounds are open to visitor free of charge, however, donations are important to the continued maintenanace and operation of the property.
