Geocache Description:

Parking is available in a gateway at GZ but watch out for passing traffic. You are looking for a micro approx 100mm X 15mm covered in cammo tape.

Kelsterton Brewery was situated at the bottom of Kelsterton Lane in Connah's Quay and used to brew beers and it's famous ginger beer. We used to play in the ruins as kids and try to find old bottles which contained a marble in the neck of the bottle. The lane and the brewery used to be totally surrounded by woodland in years gone by but nowadays new housing is getting closer to the site. The brewery buildings, now ruins, are only about 15 metres from the lane, behind a stone built wall on the left going up from Connah's Quay.

Both of the underground storage cellars are still there, running parallel with each other, with a small gap connecting the two at their centres. An attempt to block the entrance to both cellars with rubble was made, but access can still be gained through a gap if you are slim enough to get through.

There's not much left to see at ground level these days, just some small ruins, the boundary walls and entrance.
