Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in Murphy Candler Park. Many Cub Scouts in the area play baseball here and will enjoy looking for this cache after their games.

For 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has helped youth become more than they ever thought possible. And we’ll continue that journey into the next century.

The Cub Scout program in the US began in 1930 and currently is open to boys in 1st through 5th grades. The Cub Scouts offers fun and challenging experiences that inspire confidence and teach important values. Cub Scout Geocaching is an important addition to the Scout program. This cache is designed with the Cub Scout and other young children in mind. Please leave appropriate toys and "swag" for young people of all programs.

The Get in the Game! committee of the Atlanta Area Council is maintaining this cache for people to discover. It is a regular cache that has several Scouting items, Scout patches, and other fun items for trade. If the cache is low on trading items please let me know through the account on geocaching.com

This is the fourth "Treasures" cache placed by the Atlanta Area council. In addition to AAC, Treasures of Scouting: Cache to Cub Scouts, we’ve hidden four other caches highlighting Scouting programs. Find all five! Search AAC, Treasures of Scouting on Geocaching.com.

If you are an Eagle Scout or involved with Boy Scouts be sure to sign your name, what Troop and Council you were with, and what rank you got to. If it was the Eagle rank, let us know what year.

Cache hidden by JMTBuzz on behalf of the Atlanta Area Council. I left one of my unactivated Eagle Scout Geocoins for the FTF Geocacher! I will randomly drop more unactivated Eagle Scout Geocoins in the future without notice, so visit often and bring Scouting "swag" to trade for them.
