This cache is located on State Trust Lands and motor vehicles are not allowed in this section even though evidence to the contrary is always present. A recreation permit is required to be legal on State Trusts Lands. You can obtain a permit by phoning 602 364 2753 and the cost is $15 for an individual and $20 per a family for one year. This year the desert bloom will be well worth the price of the ticket.
Two parking areas to get to this hide are N33 degrees 38.807 and W 112 degrees 29.813 and N 33 degrees 39.425 and W 1112 degrees 30.775 right along Sun Valley Parkway. This hide is a walk out into the desert but it isn't to bad if you find and follow the right ATV road that goes close to the location. The first to fnd gets a German coin that says five marks and there is room for exchangeables. The view is awesome from this location and if you are more adventurous, you can continue further up the ridge from the cache and find a open unprotected mine shaft right on the ridge. I wish I knew what they mined there. Take a walking stick if you have one.
Always practice CITO whenever possible. We have been picking and hauling out trash from this part of the White Tanks for a number of years. Also please post any photos you may take of the area.
This is another one of our favorite walks in the desert and the cache was placed for our oldest Grandboy to find when he visits with his mother in March. He is ten.
Congratulations to "FORK" for another FTF. I believe this makes a double for him today. I can almost see Fork and Subman123 racing out there for these three new ones listed today.
