The Fletcher Bay Recreation Reserve is 64km North of Coromandel on the tip of the Peninsula, situated amongst open farmland and native bush. The roads North of Colville are unsealed and it takes approx 2 hrs to drive there from Coromandel Town. Fletcher Bay is ideal for picnics, swimming/snorkeling, fishing, diving and is safe for children. It is also the beginning of the Coromandel Walkway...a 7.5km one way picturesque track taking about 3.5 hours to walk.
