Θ
A series of caches based on the letters of the Greek Alphabet.
There are 24 letters in the Greek alphabet. They've been around
since around 850BC. The Greek alphabet is itself derived from the
Phoenician alphabet. The Greek alphabet has itself been the basis
of other alphabets including the Latin alphabet.
Modern Greek letters today, are used for symbols in mathematics
and science. amongst other things.
"Theta" is the 8th letter of the Greek
alphabet. The letter derived from a Phonecian word for wheel.
Theta in its lower case form θ represents the
potential temperature in meterology and an a plane angle in
geometery, (amongst other things).
When I placed this cache I parked at N52 04.688 W000
45.188 and walked towards Wolverton to the bridleway.
The cache is a small lock and lock box placed in the "bowl" of a
multi trunked tree. There is a deep lake within a few feet of the
cache site, so please take care when caching with little ones and
pets.
