After travelling through an area of acreage properties the road then follows alongside the Mudgeeraba Creek through a lush rainforest of palms, ferns and towering trees.
There are many cascading swimming holes along the road. The Creek feeds straight from the Springbrook National Park so the water is clear and clean.
Remember to take mosquito repellant, water, food and swimming gear. There are no toilet facilities!
Take extra care if wet as large steps cut into the steep slope are slippery. Not suitable after flood rains.
WP1 is situated in a circle of towering gums (black butts).
Climb through the gate and follow the fence to the right to the last fence post/butt. Search carefully but mother nature isn't hiding it!
Directions to the starting point for your final destination,Ground zero, are enclosed in this little hidey hole.
From the starting point walk north downstream past "window" and black centered log and on to the strangler.
The loop marks the spot.
