Please note this area is in an area near or beside a nature
reserve so please respect the area. The final cache is hidden
outside the Nature Reserve and is a nano, after the regular and the
micro got muggled. All clues for the challenge are easily viewable
from the designated paths and there is no need to wander off paths.
In fact if you have you are probably on the wrong tracks.
The cache's exact coordinates can be found by the following
clues:-
Good luck! - they are in DMd or degrees, min, and decimal
min
Coordinates:-
N52° A.BFF', W4° CD.E8B'
A = According to the lookout sign the distance away in miles
that Pen Strwmbl is away divided by 2 and then -1
B = Missing letter from the date that the Penglais Woods were
declared as a nature reserve 19B5 (have a look at the many signs
around the entrances / online)
C&D = Distance that Pen Strwmbl is away in km divided by 2
is DC km
E = Number of Urns on the fence overlooking the old mansion (see
waypoints) +1
F = The contact telephone number mentioned on the reserve signs
(and online) is:- 01545 5F2142
Good luck!!
The cache itself is a nano cache, but where it is it should be
relatively easy for a geocacher to spot, difficult for a
muggle.
Enjoy the Views, and possibly the weather - if you are lucky!
The path can be quite muddy all year around, wear good boots
A good map of the woods can be found on this pdf:
