Pablo Feeder Canal Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Cache is located along the dirt road that parallels the Pablo Feeder Canal that feeds water to Pablo Reservoir. The water originates in the Mission Mountains and Flathead River.
There are more than 1,200 miles of irrigation canals and 17 reservoirs on the Flathead Reservation. The canals provide water delivery to approximately 127,000 acres. The Flathead Irrigation and Power Project on the Flathead Reservation began about 1907.
This is a small cache containing a log book and small pencil. There is no need to go near the water during summer months, please watch children and pets when the water is running.
This cache is accessed from North Reservoir Road just south of Polson. You can park at the junction of Pablo Feeder Canal and North Reservoir Road (47° 38.970' N 114° 10.207' W) or drive the third of a mile to the cache. The road is rough and muddy at times. There is a turn around just past the cache.
FTF prize is a new set of batteries for your overworked GPS unit!
